Team Enterprise

Team Enterprise - bird boxesHere at Beechwood College many of our students take part in a Team Enterprise scheme. This scheme is an opportunity for students to experience and gain skills in running a small business enterprise.

All the work completed is used as evidence so that students can earn OCN accreditations such as ‘Enterprise Project’ and ‘Craft Enterprise’.

The team enterprise scheme is a fantastic opportunity for students to develop skills through practical experience.

  • Students work creatively to produce craft items such as, pottery, stained glass sun catchers, gift boxes and picture frames which they sell to earn money for Team Enterprise.
  • Students are involved in all aspects of Team Enterprise such as planning, research, finances and advertising and design.  All of these things go towards developing students essential skills, which are, application of number, literacy, communication, working with others, ICT, problem solving and improving own learning and performance.
  • Students are allocated different roles within Team Enterprise, these include graphic design for advertising and labelling, budgeting and market research.
