Learning Pathway

Learning Pathway at Beechwood CollegeThe learning pathway is a clear route for how an individual student will be supported through their time at College.

From the moment that we begin a student's transition to the College, we work together with a student to recognise any anxieties or low motivation about certain subject areas. Our staff team then develop an personalised education programme with additional attention and support where learning has been problematic.

The College offers students programmes that are formally accredited by external bodies such as Agored Cymru (formerly OCN for Wales), ASDAN, WJEC and Ed-Excel.

In addition to this we also deliver a great number of non-accredited learning in areas such as Life Skills, Horticulture and Team Enterprise projects that promote our students' experiences of everyday living.

Our students' progress is monitored in each teaching session of every day. Six monthly progress reviews are held for students, their families and professionals to formally review progress and to communicate the targets that are set for the next six months.
